Industrial Pollution Control Permits
The permits are issued by Environment Agency or the Council. The Environment Agency issues permits for A1 installations and the Council for A2 and Part B Installations which includes, cement batch processes, vehicle refinishers and dry cleaners.

Any installation required to obtain a permit will need to apply to the relevant regulator and pay an application fee. Thereafter an annual subsistence fee is payable the amount of which is determined by a risk assessment. Periodic inspections are carried out to ensure compliance with the conditions which form part of the permit.
