Compulsory Purchase Order - Stanton Cross Infrastructure

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF WELLINGBOROUGH (STANTON CROSS INFRASTRUCTURE) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2012

On the 30 November 2012 the Secretary of State confirmed the Borough Council of Wellingborough (Stanton Cross Infrastructure) Compulsory Purchase Order 2012.

The notice of confirmation incorporates a notice of intention to make a GVD, since the Council may chose to proceed to acquire all or some of the land compulsorily (if it proves necessary to do so) using this procedure.

A copy of the confirmed Order may be inspected at Swanspool House, Doddington Road, Wellingborough, NN8 1BP between 8.30am and 5pm Mondays to Wednesdays, between 9.30am and 5pm on Thursdays and between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Fridays and at Wellingborough Library, Pebble Lane, Wellingborough NN8 1AS between 8am and 6pm Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 5pm on Saturdays and between 1pm and 4pm on Sundays.

CPO Notice

LAND TO THE EAST OF WELLINGBOROUGH RAILWAY STATION AND SOUTH OF MILL ROAD WELLINGBOROUGH

1.  Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Wellingborough ("the Acquiring Authority")  made  on the  16 April 2012 the Borough Council of Wellingborough (Stanton Cross Infrastructure) Compulsory Purchase Order 2012 under Section 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.   It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise the Acquiring Authority to purchase compulsorily the land described below for the purpose of facilitating the carrying out of development, re-development or improvement of the land for the provision of a part of a link road and other highway infrastructure to provide access to the proposed new railway station building, car parking, public transport interchange and associated public access and public realm, together with access to the proposed new Stanton Cross urban extension and a mixed use scheme including employment, residential, leisure, live/work office, and retail units and associated facilities, other new highways and other associated infrastructure, drainage, river diversion and associated works.

A copy of the order and of the map referred to therein have been deposited for inspection and may be seen at the Council's offices at Swanspool House, Doddington Road, Wellingborough NN8 1BP between 08.30 a.m. and 17.00 p.m. on Mondays to Wednesdays, between 09.30 a.m and 17.00 p.m. on Thursdays and between 08.30 a.m. and 16.30 p.m. on Fridays and Wellingborough Library, Pebble Lane, Wellingborough NN8 1AS between 08.00 a.m. and 18.00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and between 09.00 a.m. and 17.00 p.m. on Saturdays and are also available for inspection on the Council's website http://www.wellingborough.gov.uk/

General Vesting Declaration (GVD)

Stanton Cross CPO has now moved forward with a General Vesting Declaration (GVD) details of which can be viewed online or at Council Offices: Swanspool House, Doddington Road, Wellingborough, NN8 1BP.

Following the making of the General Vesting Declaration on 22 August, title to the land subject of the GVD together with the right to possession of it, will pass to the Council on 20 September 2013 being the vesting date arising under the GVD.
