Notice of Confirmation
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, in exercise of his powers under the above Acts, on 1July 2016 confirmed the Borough Council of Wellingborough (Station Island North, Stanton Cross) Compulsory Purchase Order 2015 submitted by the Borough Council of Wellingborough.

The public inquiry opened on Tuesday 10 May at 10am and was closed at approximately 3.25pm. Both objections to the compulsory purchase order were withdrawn during the inquiry.

Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, The Borough Council of Wellingborough (Station Island North, Stanton Cross) Compulsory Purchase Order 2015
The Borough Council of Wellingborough has submitted to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, for confirmation of an Order made by them under section 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, which would authorise them to acquire compulsorily the land referred to in the Schedule hereto for the purpose(s) of facilitating and enabling the development of the order land for development, redevelopment or improvement purposes and facilitate the Station Island North Scheme.
Following the submission of two objections to the Compulsory Purchase Order, notice is hereby given that a public local inquiry into this matter will be held at Wellingborough Council Offices, Swanspool House, Doddington Road, Wellingborough, NN8 1BP on Tuesday 10 May 2016 at 10.00am.

There are two objections to the compulsory purchase order. Both objectors have submitted their representations.
No statement of evidence has been received from Keyarea Enterprises, however the objector has submitted documents which they intend to rely on as part of the evidence. Any statement received will be added to the website in due course.

Following the making of objections to the Compulsory Purchase Order as detailed below, the Council has now prepared and served a copy of its Statement of Case.
Compulsory Purchase order
On 12 October 2015 the Council made a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) to secure the necessary land and estates and interests in land required to facilitate the implementation of a further phase of the Stanton Cross strategic urban extension. The CPO, known as the Borough Council of Wellingborough (Station Island North, Stanton Cross) Compulsory Purchase Order 2015, is about to be submitted to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for confirmation. The Order, if confirmed by the Secretary of State, will authorise the compulsory acquisition of land (and certain interests in land) located to the north of Mill Road Wellingborough, together with part of Mill Road.
A newspaper notice relating to the making of the order is to be published in the Northants Telegraph on the 15 and 22 October. Notices are also to be sent to owners, lessees, tenants and occupies of the land subject of the order.
Any person wishing to make an objection to the CPO may do so, in writing, to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, National Planning Casework Unit, Department for Communities and Local Government, 5 St Philip’s Place, Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2PW, before 9 November 2015 and should state the title of the CPO, the grounds of objection and the objector’s address and interest in the land.
