The Council ensures that we have sufficient and cost effective insurance to cover those risks which can affect the Council and/or its residents.

How to make a claim

If you feel that you have suffered a loss through negligence on the part of the Council then please write to us at the address below.  In order for a claim to succeed there has to be proven legal liability and negligence.


Data Protection Act 1998  

The information you provide to the Borough Council of Wellingborough will be used to enable the Council to process your claim.  We may share your information with our insurers, contractors and others who may be involved with the defence of the claim.

Defendant only Claim Notification Forms must be sent to the email address below.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not a Highways Authority, so claims damage as a result of potholes on the roads and  footways would be handled by Northamptonshire County Council or their agents MGWSP.
