Local Authority Building Control (LABC) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in building design and construction. LABC is a publicly accountable, independent building control provider. Our aim is to assist you in producing high quality buildings that meet the minimum requirements of the Building Regulations in a time scale which keeps your costs to a minimum.
Co-ordination of spatial planning is essential to support the work of the local delivery vehicle. The districts of Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and East Northants and the County Council have established a Joint Planning Unit (JPU) which formally became operational on October 1st 2004. The Unit comprises a Planning Manager and a team of officers seconded part-time from the districts and the County Council.
Building Regulations Division deals with Building Regulations, which ensure the health and safety of people in and around buildings by providing functional requirements for building design and construction.
