Inclusive football coaching
Published Monday 15th August 11
Young footballers with physical or learning disabilities can develop their skills this week at inclusive coaching sessions in Wellingborough.
Wellingborough Council has teamed up with Northamptonshire FA to offer the disability football coaching for young people between 8-16 years of age on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August at the Redwell Leisure Centre on Barnwell Road. The sessions cost £5 a day and run from 1.30pm to 4pm on both days.
Quintin Allen, Wellingborough Council's sports development officer said: "The inclusive football coaching sessions are packed with a variety of activities to suit everyone, even those who are new to the sport. It will be really fun and friendly and will give the young people a chance to develop their skills in a safe, professional and inclusive environment. All sessions are run by qualified coaches and when we've run disability football coaching before everyone's really enjoyed it and got a lot out of it so it's great we're able to offer it again."
