Result of the full council meeting of 5 July to award the contract for The Castle Arts Centre.
The proposed action to resolve that the contract be awarded to Phoenix Leisure Management Ltd was defeated with 23 votes against, 3 votes for, and 4 abstentions.
The council has agreed in principle to award the contract to The Castle (Wellingborough) Ltd, subject to finalisation of contract negotiations to come before the full council at a meeting on 26 July 2011.
This was agreed with 23 votes for, 2 votes against, and 4 abstentions.
