Tickets available for charity Valentine’s ball

Published Tuesday 11th January 11

Love will be in the air on Saturday 12 February as the Mayor of Wellingborough, Cllr Lora Lawman, hosts an annual Valentine’s ball.

The ball will be held at Wicksteed Park Pavillion from 7pm until 12.30am. Tickets are priced at £25 each and include a two-course meal and live music and dancing.

The ball is a self-financing event with all proceeds being donated to the Mayor's Charity Fund. The fund will be distributed to deserving charities at the end of the Mayor's term of office, with the main charity being Help For Heroes.

Admission to the black tie event is by ticket only, and tickets are available from the Mayor's Secretary on 01933 231 519 or by email fmarshall@wellingborough.gov.uk

The Mayor said: "Everyone is welcome at the Valentine's ball, whether it's couples looking for a romantic night out, or groups of friends and colleagues wanting a fun evening. It's a very special occasion, made even more so by the knowledge that everyone attending is doing their bit to help such a worthwhile cause as Help For Heroes. I hope we raise as much money as possible for our armed forces, and I'm looking forward to what promises to be a really entertaining night."
