Last few days for Open Art Competetion

There are just a few days to go for artists to prepare their art works for the 18th Wellingborough Open Art Competition!
Artists from, or with a connection to, Northamptonshire are invited to enter artworks with a chance to win cash prizes.
"In 2008 we had over 150 entries from more than 70 artists. I'm hoping this year we'll have the same high quality entries as last time," said Paula Armstrong, Wellingborough Council's Arts Development Officer.
There are cash prizes for the three categories: £700 for 'Best Professional'; £700 for 'Best Amateur'; and £600 for 'Best Sculpture'.
Entries should be submitted with a completed entry form on Monday 14 June between 2-7pm at The Castle. They will then be judged by a panel comprising professional artists and councillors. Successful entries will then be exhibited 3- 30 July at The Castle and prizes will be announced at the private view on 2 July.
