Ping pong pandemonium

Published Thursday 12th August 10

Wellingborough Council is running table tennis coaching for children on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 August.

The sessions take place at Weavers Leisure Centre and run from 10am-12.30pm for children aged 7-10 years, and from 1.30pm-4pm for children aged 11-14 years. The price for both age groups is £10 for the two-day programme.

Quintin Allen, Sports Development Officer at Wellingborough Council said: "The price of these courses has been subsidised by the council to keep costs as low as possible for parents. The table tennis coaching on offer is a great opportunity for children to try something new, with the possibility of progressing onto a club if they wish to continue playing."
The courses are run by Wellingborough Council in partnership with Westfield Table Tennis Club, and are led by qualified coaches. The sessions are varied to suit children of all abilities.
