Archery coaching for children
Published Thursday 12th August 10
For two days in August, Wellingborough Council is working with Wellingborough Open Archery Club to provide archery coaching for children.
The coaching takes place at Wrenn School on Doddington Road on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 August. The sessions run from 10am-12pm for boys and girls and 8-11 years, and from 1pm-3pm for boys and girls aged 12-15 years. The sessions for both age groups are £12 for both days.
Archery is an adventurous sport that is suitable for anyone, even those that have never tried it before. The qualified leaders will teach participants the skills they need to get them hitting the target in no time!
Quintin Allen, Sports Development Officer at the council said: "We run numerous sports coaching activities for children throughout the summer holidays, and these sessions will give them the chance to try out a sport that may not be usually be readily available to them."
