Ever wanted to try a new sport? Then Redwell Leisure Centre’s free Olympic weekend is the place to be on Sunday 25 July.
As we lead up to the 2012 Olympic Games, Wellingborough Council and Redwell Leisure Centre are hosting their very own open weekend to get you ready for the games. A variety of sports will be on offer for all the family to try, and it's completely free of charge.
The day will be opened at 12pm by Councillor Lora Lawman, Mayor of Wellingborough, and people will be able to try many different sports including: athletics, basketball, hockey, kickboxing, judo, short mat bowls, curling, boccia, table tennis and tennis. Compete in the passport challenge by taking part in four or more events to win a medal.
Dance mats, exercise classes, a penalty shoot out, a rower and bike challenge, refreshments and a bouncy castle will also be available.
There's no need to register, just turn up at Redwell Leisure Centre between 12-4pm on Sunday to get yourself fit for the Olympics.
