Funding opportunity for rural businesses

As part of the LEADER programme the North Northamptonshire Rural Action Partnership (NNRAP) are working with The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) to support rural business development.

The RDPE is a £3.9 billion, seven year (2007-13) rural investment programme jointly funded by the EU and UK .  RPDE are looking for projects to invest in eg local farms, forestry and other rural business, community enterprise and heritage projects.  The NNRAP have been allocated £1.5million of RDPE "LEADER" grant funding to be available for suitable projects.

The funding aims to improve the economic wellbeing of rural North Northamptonshire by encouraging, tourism, and enterprise by offering funding opportunities. The Partnership also aims to provide help to preserve and enhance the built and natural heritage of this beautiful part of Northamptonshire, whilst ensuring that developments are environmentally friendly.
