Littering Prosecutions

Jordan Kitima of Kiln Way, Wellingborough pleaded guilty to an offence at Kiln Way and was fined £200.  Jarostaw Mossakowski of Reigate Walk, Corby received a £150 fine for littering from a vehicle in Victoria Road and Gavin Hillman of Ebbw Vale, South Wales was fined £100 for dropping litter outside KFC in Turnells Mill Lane.

Each was also ordered to pay £100 costs and £15 victim surcharge.  All three had been given the opportunity to avoid prosecution by paying fixed penalty notices of £75.

Councillor Malcolm Waters, Chairman of Wellingborough Council's Community Committee, said, "This sends out a clear message that we take littering and other environmental offences seriously and will continue to use all powers available to help us maintain a clean Borough".
