Residents urged to “place” Wellingborough in survey
Published Monday 2nd November 09
A senior councillor has said his authority sets great store by the opinions expressed by residents in a community survey.
Thousands of residents have been asked for their views about their local area in the Place Survey, which is being carried out between September and mid-November. The surveys are conducted by an independent market research company and questionnaires have been sent out to randomly selected households. Questions cover the local area, local public services and information from local public bodies, local decision making, voluntary work and community safety. Findings will help police and councils understand the needs of their communities and review their priorities.
Cllr Waters commented: "Our Council at Wellingborough sets great store by the opinions expressed by the members of our community in this survey. It is the best tool we have for getting an accurate picture of how people feel about our council and life in the Borough. The survey helps the Council make sure its work is having the desired outcomes and plan where we should allocate scarce resources in the future."
