Cllr Carr received the civic honour of the new Mayor of Wellingborough at the Annual Meeting of the Borough Council of Wellingborough on Tuesday 26 May, following Cllr Jo Beirne’s municipal year.

Cllr Beirne has carried out an excellent service as Mayor of our borough over the last municipal year.
“Once it is permitted I am looking forward to meeting our communities and raising money for my chosen charities.”
Once it is safe to do so, Cllr Carr, will be organising a number of events to raise funds for his chosen charities, of which his main one will be The Northamptonshire Heritage Forum which he helped establish in 2002 that represents over 100 museums, historic houses, heritage sites and history societies across the county.
