Published Wednesday, 29 April 2020

Businesses in Wellingborough have received £12.4m in grants of either £10k or £25k to provide them with vital support during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Borough Council of Wellingborough has received funds from Central Government and has been working hard to contact all eligible businesses and process their grants as quickly as possible.

The Small Business Grant Fund and the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant are distributed to companies by the council and all the known eligible businesses will have received direct communication from the council.

If a business in Wellingborough hasn’t already been contacted by the Council they are advised to email the team on nndr@wellingborough.gov.uk  for guidance.

Leader of the Borough Council of Wellingborough, Cllr Martin Griffiths, said: “These are very difficult times for businesses and we are committed to doing all we can support them. Our officers are working hard to process grants as quickly and efficiently as possible to ensure those organisations get the help they need.

“We would encourage anyone who thinks their businesses might be eligible for a grant to contact us via email to receive the relevant advice. We will do all we can to ensure the borough has a prosperous economic future.”
