Cancellation of the International Waendel Walk 2020

Published Wednesday, 18 March 2020

The International Waendel Walk, which was scheduled to take place from Friday 8 – Sunday 10 May 2020 will not take place this year.

The Borough Council of Wellingborough has with regret made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event to ensure the safety of its residents and visitors during this time. Castle theatre has also made the decision to close and their press statement can be found at https://www.parkwoodtheatres.co.uk/castle-theatre/castle-statement

The Council and Castle Theatre are following health and safety guidance issued by Government regarding the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The Council and Castle Theatre will be issuing full refunds to anyone who has signed up for the event and Castle Theatre will be contacting all customers directly by telephone or email to process refunds.

The events team are working with our partners and volunteers and we hope to deliver the event once again next year. Any urgent queries regarding the Waendel Walk should be made via email to: events@wellingborough.gov.uk
