The Nene Valley Crematorium has achieved ‘gold standard’ by the industry’s assessors for excellence, the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM) for the second year running.
This prestigious award, which is associated with The Charter for the Bereaved Assessment process for Burial and Cremation, reflects the continued high standard of service provided at the crematorium. The team have attained the gold accreditation for the second year in a row and the award comes just three years after the crematorium first opened its door.
The Charter supports the expansion and improvement of services and seeks to educate people about bereavement.
Chairman for the Board of Directors at Nene Valley Crematorium, Cllr Paul Bell, added: “This award recognises and celebrates the hard work of Tracy and her team, as well as the fantastic high-quality service which they provide.
“We are committed to providing a service and space which meets the needs of local residents, and are proud to have recently celebrated the opening of the Wendelburie Memorial Garden.”
Manager at the crematorium, Tracy Lawrence, said: “We are so proud to have maintained a gold accreditation. The team is dedicated to providing a tailor-made service during what is often a very difficult time for family and friends.
“We have worked hard over the last year to develop the choices for our visitors, and the Wendelburie memorial garden provides a peaceful space for family and friends to reflect, complemented with views of the Nene Valley.
“I feel very proud be part of a dedicated team who believe in what they do to ensure their recipients’ needs are accommodated for, with the utmost care”.
