The Borough Council of Wellingborough is inviting residents to the beach event at Market Square this summer.
Residents won’t need to travel hours to the beach this summer, they can visit Wellingborough’s Market Square from Saturday 27 July – Saturday 17 August as the Borough Council of Wellingborough delivers the beach event again this summer.
This free event will be open for people of all ages to enjoy daily (apart from Sundays) between 10am and 4pm. The beach will open on Saturday 27 July, when there will be free buckets and spades available for children to build their very own sandcastles, as well as a range of activities throughout the day. Visitors will have the chance to meet Captain America, Black Panther, Wonder Woman, Spiderman and Batman and enjoy bubble displays.
Cllr Martin Griffiths, Leader of the Borough Council of Wellingborough, said: “We are excited to be organising the beach event again following the success of last year. So many people enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the beach last summer, and I hope that they will be able to enjoy as much time in the sunshine over the next few weeks.
“The beach will follow on from the Waendel Walk and party weekend, making this summer one to remember for the residents of our borough.”
