Residents across the borough adorned Wellingborough’s streets and Croyland Park to celebrate the annual Party Weekend on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July.

Wellingborough was transformed into a riot of colour, music and dance as community groups, organisations, charities and individuals dressed up and joined in the parade that wound its way through the town to Croyland Park.

The weekend provided a vast range of activities for people of all ages, including performances by local musicians and performers, a dog show and food and drink stalls.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Martin Griffiths, said: “The Party Weekend is always a fantastic event that is enjoyed by people of all ages and it was great to see so many residents coming together to enjoy the weekend. The event followed on from the record breaking Waendel Walk weekend and I would like to thank all of our staff, partners and volunteers for their support this summer and helping us organise two of the best events ever. One thing I have learned since moving here 26 years ago is that we certainly know how to throw a party here in Wellingborough! I would like to encourage everyone to now come to town and join us in our next summer event, the beach, which returns on Saturday 27 July until Saturday 17 August”.
