European Parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on Thursday 23 May. The European Union and UK have agreed to extend the EU exit deadline to 31 October 2019.
There are no local council elections for the Borough Council of Wellingborough on Thursday 2 May. The Government has postponed Northamptonshire’s local elections by one year following the proposals to restructure councils in the county. Any polling cards you receive in the coming weeks will be for the European election only.

All registered EU citizens have been sent a form to allow them to vote in the UK at these European Parliamentary elections. This form must also be returned by midnight on Tuesday 7 May in order for any EU citizens to be eligible to vote in the UK on Thursday 23 May.
You can register to vote for the first time online at www.gov.uk/registertovote.
