A free community carol service will be held on Wednesday 23 December in Wellingborough town centre.

The borough council has teamed up with All Hallows Church and Churches Together in Wellingborough to organise the service, which will take place at 6pm outside All Hallows Church on the town’s market place.

The Mayor of Wellingborough, Councillor Barry Graves will be in attending the service. He said: "This is a very popular family event and one that the community looks forward to. It’s a traditional celebration with lots of carols and readings telling the Christmas story.

"Please wrap up warm and come and join us for this special occasion."

The Salvation Army band will be playing during the service, and hot drinks and mince pies will be available afterwards.
