Hundreds of people enjoyed a community fun day at a Wellingborough park on Sunday (18 August). The day of music, entertainment and information was organised by the Castle Fields Community Group, after they were awarded £2,500 of government money to help bring the diverse neighbourhood together.
Wellingborough Council’s planning committee tonight granted outline permission for a new employment park a couple of miles west of the town centre. The £115 million Appleby Lodge project, which will be just off Sywell Road, could create up to 2,500 jobs in the borough, ranging from warehouse staff, IT positions, customer services staff and office managers.
