    Young people from the Queensway area of Wellingborough are celebrating the official opening of their new sports court. The 18m x 10m multi-use court is the result of a petition sent in by the estate’s teenagers to the borough council.

  • Official opening of the Minerva Way fitness zone

    An outdoor gym has been opened as part of a drive to reduce antisocial behaviour on Wellingborough’s Queensway estate. The fitness zone, next to the children’s play area on Minerva Way, is aimed at teenagers who say they hang around the estate’s parks because there is nothing else for them to do in the area.

    Wellingborough’s extensive heritage and history is waiting to be explored by visitors to this year’s Waendel Walk. Two new free heritage trails will be launched this weekend, giving people the chance to discover hidden gems around the town centre.

    Robert Gough and Veronica Waters have been elected to the Borough Council of Wellingborough. Robert Gough (Conservative) has been elected to represent the Earls Barton ward and Veronica Waters (Conservative) has been elected to represent the Redwell West ward.
