Community Safety
There is clear recognition that communities, individuals and businesses are concerned about crime and disorder issues in the Borough. In response to this, Community Safety Partners meet regularly with community organisations and voluntary groups.
All areas of the Borough have Community Panel meetings every 12 weeks where the local Policing priorities are discussed. This can include issues such as Anti-social behaviour, inconsiderate parking and littering. Wellingborough Council attend these to assist when appropriate.
The work of The Community Safety Team ranges from managing the Community Safety budget, preparing strategies including the CCTV for Wellingborough to assisting with the set up of a Pub and Club Watch scheme and Retail Crime initiative.
