Finedon and Great Doddington
Finedon
Lying four miles to the north east of Wellingborough, Finedon possesses a number of interesting buildings, including the splendid Parish church, built of local ironstone.
More recent additions to the villagescape, during Victorian times, may be described as mock Gothic, including Finedon Hall, a building of Elizabethan origins. The Bell Inn and Mulso Arms are two pubs of note.
Finedon is renowned for its antique shops.

Great Doddington
The village is situated immediately to the south west of Wellingborough on a ridge overlooking the River Nene.
The earliest record of the church dates from the 11th century - its walls and roof are original Norman. Buried within is one of Doddington's famous sons, Sir William de Pateshull, victim of the Black Death which claimed half of the population of the county in the mid-14th century.
Other notable historic buildings include the Old Vicarage, Manor House and Stag's Head public house.
