The most recent poll held was on 8 June 2016 when Peter Bone (Conservative) was elected as a member of parliament for the Wellingborough constituency.
Borough Council election
The next local government election for the Borough Council of Wellingborough will take place in May 2019. We have 36 elected councillors and they are elected every four years.
County Council election
Wellingborough residents also have the right to vote at Northamptonshire County Council elections which relate to the election of county councillors. The next local government elections for Northamptonshire County Council will be in May 2021.
UK Parliamentary (General) election
The Wellingborough area is spilt between two constituencies; Wellingborough and Daventry. For details on the MP's for these areas please go the Member of Parliament page. Under the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011, parliamentary elections must be held every five years. The next UK Parliamentary elections is due in May 2022, though there are provisions that can be met that may mean a UK Parliamentary election could be held sooner.
Police and Crime Commissioner election
The first ever election of Police and Crime Commissioners for England and Wales took place on 15 November 2012. The next Police and Crime Commissioner election will take place in May 2020.
European Parliamentary election
Wellingborough is represented in the European Parliament as part of the United Kingdom's East Midlands Region. The last European Parliamentary election was 22 May 2014.
Parish Council elections
There are 18 Parish Councils in the borough. Elections take place every four years.
