The Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change
The Nottingham Declaration is a high level commitment to work with the community and address the issue of climate change.
Wellingborough was one of the first to sign up to the commitment in June 2001 and has since been instrumental in encouraging other Northamptonshire councils to do the same.
Wellingborough's commitment to the Nottingham Declaration was re-affirmed in October 2006 when all of the Council's of Northamptonshire signed the Declaration together.
By signing the Declaration, the Borough Council shows it is committed to minimising the problems and maximising the opportunities presented by climate change, on both a global and local scale.
Further information on the Declaration can be found on the Nottingham Declaration Website.
