The Highways Agency is an Excutive Agency of the Department for Transport, and is responsible for England's strategic road network - managing traffic, tackling congestion, informing roads users, improving safety, minimising adverse impact on the environment and more.
The Highways Agency is also used as a consutee in some planning applications.
