Play Facilities

The Borough Council provides a variety of play and youth facilities throughout Wellingborough and surrounding villages.  There are more than 25 sites, some of which provide small local areas for play with one or two items of equipment and others which provide a neighbourhood facility with fully fenced facilities catering for all play needs.  Alongside these play areas, the Borough Council has, over the past few years, developed areas aimed specifically for youth provision.  These include multi-courts for football, basketball, netball etc, skate parks and general "hang about" youth shelter areas.  These provide a much needed facility for the youth - somewhere they can call their own.

The inspection, maintenance and repairs of the play and youth areas is undertaken by the Borough Council's Environmental Services.  To report any incidents of vandalism or accidents/incidents whilst using the play facilities please contact Customer Services Tel: 01933 229777
