Sywell is located five miles west of Wellingborough and just six miles from Northampton.

The old village is now a conservation area comprising about 30 houses, the Horseshoe Cottages and the Old School.

Sywell has a small airfield used during the Second World War for the repair of Avro Lancaster bombers.  Its current use includes private flying and houses the Sywell Aviation Museum.

Sywell is also home to a country park, incorporating a reservoir and numerous countryside activities, and events are held here throughout the year.
