Grant Assistance

Disabled Facilities Grants

This type of grant is available for:-

• Helping with the provision of facilities such as stairlifts, over bath showers, level access showers, ground floor access facilities and wheelchair adaptations.
• The Council may only offer this type of grant on the recommendation of the Community Occupational Therapy Department.

In the first instance you should contact Housing Renewal at the council on 01933 231893 or email housingrenewal@wellingborough.gov.uk  to request an assessment.

Renovation Grant

This type of grant is available for:-

• Making houses and flats fit for human habitation
• Providing affordable warmth by improved thermal insulation and efficient heating systems
• Improving safety within the home
• Carrying out radon remediation work
• Providing 'flats over shops' in the town centre area
• Bringing certain empty properties back into use for letting.
