About the Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires all public authorities to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme. The purpose of a Publication Scheme is to ensure that authorities make as much information available as possible to the general public. It is also a way of promoting transparency and openness.
The Borough Council of Wellingborough's Publication Scheme provides details of the information that is published automatically or routinely by the Council. It is categorised under the following headings.
-
Constitution and Democracy - Who are we and what we do
-
Finance and Audit - What we spend and how we spend it
-
Priorities and Performance - What our priorities are and how we are doing
-
Decision Making - How we make decisions
We have tried to include information which will be of interest to the people of the Borough.
Please be aware that much of the information held by the Council is personal and private to individuals. Personal information is exempt from release under section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act. However, you can request information personal to yourself via a Data Subject Access Request.
