All councillors must abide by the council's code of conduct under Section 27 of the Localism Act 2011. 

Complaints process

If you have a complaint against one of our councillors you will need to complete a complaint form. You can also see how we will deal with your allegation

Ombudsman complaints

The Ombudsman provides an independent review of a customer's complaint about something a council has done or failed to do.

At the Borough Council of Wellingborough, the Ombudsman is the final stage of our complaints procedure.

It is normally a requirement of the Ombudsman that the Council you are complaining about has had the chance to review your concerns; in some circumstances, he will consider a complaint at an earlier stage.
