Compliments, Comments and Complaints


The Borough Council of Wellingborough has introduced a new Compliments, Comments and Complaints procedure. This is to make it easier for customers to put their views to the council and make the feedback process clearer.

The council values all compliments, comments and complaints that it receives and the objectives of the new policy include making sure:

  • customers understand how, why and where to give feedback
  • feedback is dealt with quickly, courteously and effectively
  • feedback is treated fairly and with respect
  • employees are made aware of customer appreciation when things are going well
  • customers have a means of challenging the handling of Freedom of Information requests
  • customers are kept informed of progress and the end result
  • the Council learns from complaints and uses feedback to improve services
