Business Rates

Account Enquiries - Moving out of a Property

If you are vacating a property, the Business Rates Section will require the following information:
  1. The full postal address of the property.
  2. The name of the business if it is a limited company or the name of the sole trader or partners in the business if it is not.
  3. The trading name of the business (if different).
  4. Date of vacation of the property.
  5. The date the lease terminates or date sale completed on the property.
  6. The business forwarding address or a home address of the ratepayer.
  7. Name of the new owner, leaseholder or landlord.
  8. Name and contact telephone number of the person providing the information.
This information can be provided by telephone to the Business Rate Section on 01933 231691, by fax to 01933 231677, by e-mail to nndr@wellingborough.gov.uk or by post to the Council Offices, Tithe Barn Road, Wellingborough, Northants, NN8 1BN.

Refunds


Refunds are generally made by BACS. In order that the credit can be transferred smoothly and without and complications, please provide your bank account number, sort code, name of account holder and the name and address of the bank. In the event that you do not have a live bank account, a refund will be made by cheque.
