From 21st November 2018 if you are working age you will not be able to make a new claim for:
Income based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income based Employment Support Allowance
The only time a working age person should still claim Housing Benefit is when:
You are living in Specified Accommodation or Temporary Accommodation (still claim Universal Credit but you get Housing Benefit instead of Universal Credit housing costs) or
Your partner is state Pension Credit Age (your partner can choose to claim Pension Credits & Housing Benefit) or
your household has more than two dependant childrenat the point of a new claim; you will need to apply for Child Tax Credit and any other legacy benefits including Housing Benefit (HB) that they may be entitled to.
