International Waendel Walk 2019

Friday Night Opening Parade and Friendship Walks

The Waendel Walk Opening Parade will take place on Friday 10 May 2019, with a starting time of 18:00pm.

The Parade begins at Castle Theatre  and will mark the start of the Friday Night Friendship Walks.

During the Waendel Walk Opening Parade, members of the Wellingborough Scouts will be bearing the IML Flags of Nations, along with a marching band and other local community associations and uniformed groups. Walkers are encouraged to join the Parade and complete either the 5km or 10km Friendship Walks.

The Waendel Parade is organised and arranged by the Waendel Walk Working Party and has grown over the years into an important part of the Waendel Walk Weekend, with hundreds of participants joining the Parade and continuing on to complete the Friday Night Friendship Walks.

Lots of local schools and community groups form the heart of this procession and the Friendship Walks are routes that make the parade a real community event.
