Information for cyclists

Waendel Walk weekend

Cyclists cannot enter this event unless they are wearing cycle helmets.

For safety we also recommend they wear high visibility clothing.

Cyclists must ride in accordance with the cyclists highway code. Please ride on the left hand side of road at all times, and at a sensible pace in consideration of walkers that will be on the same road route.

For safety reasons no early start is allowed.

All participants must complete and return to The Castle before 1800 on Saturday and Sunday as we lock the doors to the main hall at 1800.  If you wish to participate in the awards ceremony on Sunday please return to The Castle by 1630.

Maps are not given out in advance to avoid 'early starts'.

Saturday 12th BWF/78/E4/12 and Sunday 13th May BWF/78/E5/12 

42 km (26 miles) - start times: 0900 - 1200
25 km (16 miles) - start times: 0930 - 1200

Children up to the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
