Walk information and start times

Waendel Walk weekend

Walkers have a choice of 5, 10, 15, 25 and 42 kilometre routes that take them across fields, footpaths and roads, visiting local villages along the way.

Please note, the 5km routes are suitable for children, buggies, wheelchair users and those not used to walking.

Along the routes there are control points and public houses (pubs) that have food and toilet facilities.

The walks start and finish at The Castle, 10 Castle Way, Wellingborough, NN8 1XA. Map reference: map 52 1:50,000 - SP895676.

For safety reasons no early start is allowed.

All participants must complete and return to The Castle before 1800 on Saturday and Sunday as we lock the doors to the main hall at 1800.  If you wish to participate in the awards ceremony on Sunday please return to The Castle by 1630.
