Q: How much money would be taken from my wages on an attachment of earnings?

Answer:
The amount would be a percentage of your earnings.                                For example, net earnings of between £225 & £355 per week will result in a deduction of 12%. Net earnings of between £900 & £1420 per month will also result in a deduction of 12%. Full details are to be found on the Order itself.
If you get working tax credit, this amount will not count towards your net earnings. If an Attachment of Earnings Order is served on your employer, the employer must comply, or they will be liable for prosecution.
