This is an invitation to attend our Wellingborough CSE Awareness Talk on Wednesday 12 July 2017.
This is a FREE event. The venue will be open from 5pm and coffee and tea will be provided, with specialists on hand to answer any questions you may have in relation to CSE.
The talk will take place between 6pm and 7pm and will include a presentation from DI Richard Tompkins who heads the RISE (Reducing Incidents of Sexual Exploitation) Team and Paula Swain who is a Northamptonshire CSE Specialist Nurse. Information will be provided about safety initiatives going on in your area to tackle CSE and on how you can help in your role working within the community.
The event is being organised through the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB) as a joint initiative between the Borough Council of Wellingborough, RISE and Northamptonshire County Council and will provide an understanding of what CSE is, what role community members can play in terms of tackling CSE as well as knowledge of how to report any concerns.
There will be an opportunity after the event to talk with speakers, CSE Specialists and local members of the Council as well as to network with other people working in the community within your area.
