Emergency planning: Outline
Northamptonshire County Council works in partnership with the district and borough councils in Northamptonshire to provide an Emergency Planning team which will ensure a prompt response to major incidents and emergencies. The team will depend on local authorities and other public and voluntary sector bodies to support their work. The Emergency Plan for Northamptonshire can be viewed on the Policing and Public Safety section of the County Council's website.
As a Category One reponder the Borough Council of Wellingborough has seven duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. The Borough Council of Wellingborough has produced a document explaining how the council copes with emergencies.
