Licence - nursing agencies: Outline
With effect from 1st April 2003, the licensing and enforcement of nurses' agencies passed from the local authority to the new National Care Standards Commission (NCSC).

Existing nurses' agencies will have their registrations transferred to the CSCI.
New providers of these services will be required to register with the CSCI before they can commence their operations.
