Roads and highways - closures and diversions: Outline
Road closures and diversions can occur for a number of reasons, the main two being in the case of parades/demonstrations or road works.
Information on closures due to parades/demonstrations are usually advertised by at least one notice in the local press. Notices are also usually displayed in any roads that are affected. If appropriate, notices may be delivered to premises that are likely to be affected. The proposal should also be available for viewing at a nominated council office during normal office hours for at least 21 days from the start of the notice. More information can be found on our Demonstrations and Parades webpage.
Northamptonshire County Council is the Highway Authority responsible for roads in the Borough of Wellingborough. Information on road works can be found on their Roads and Highways webpage.
