Gritting: Outline
Northamptonshire County Council is the Highway Authority responsible for gritting on the county's roads. Further information can be found on their Salting (Gritting) webpage.
If conditions on pavements are likely to be severe for a prolonged period the County Council will instruct the Borough Council to clear accumulated snow from key footways in the town and grit them.
