Freedom of information act: Outline
The Freedom of Information Act allows anyone to make a request for information from the Council, thus promoting openness in government.
In most instances, requests can be answered quickly and easily, but occasionally there is a reason why information cannot be provided. In that case you will always receive an explanation, with details of how to appeal.
