When we carry out major works to your home we try to arrange them so you can remain in your home whilst the works are being carried out.

In the unlikely event that you have to leave your home temporarily, we will charge you the same rent you would have paid if you had remained in your home.

We would arrange temporary accommodation having regard for your needs.

Where improvements works are undertaken to sheltered dwellings and residents are required to move, the Council will:

• find alternative accommodation in another sheltered unit
• arrange for and pay all costs for packing and removing the residents furniture and personal effects
• arrange for the moving of telephones, electricity, gas, water accounts etc
• give support and advice to the residents and their family
• arrange and pay for the residents move back once works are complete.
